Services
Medication management includes the prescription and monitoring of medications for the maintenance of mental health. Diagnoses based upon clinical presentations may be determined. This is a functional assessment and diagnosis of the presenting signs and symptoms and is sufficient to guide medication and therapy selection. A full and complete psychological assessment may be required by insurance companies, school systems, and others for the determination of benefits or to differentiate complex presentations. Typically, a psychological assessment includes evaluation for intelligence, anxiety, autism, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, memory and processing speed, and others as indicated in the initial interview with the psychologist. A complete psychological assessment is performed by a licensed psychologist and may require several appointments. There are several services in Hampton Roads that may be able to provide complete psychological assessments.
